Lessons & Teaching Philosophy

I enjoy teaching both children and adults of any age. I strongly believe that everybody can sing and find their unique voice. Singing is fun, rewarding, and makes us connect with our best selves. Don't miss the chance to experience it!”

In addition to her work as a performer and interpreter, Verónica is an accomplished vocal instructor and music educator

She has been teaching private singing lessons for over a decade to students ranging in age from children to adults, 1 on 1, in pairs, and also in group settings. She has also been having lots of fun teaching bilingual English-Spanish music lessons for children 0-5, connecting directly with the joy and playful nature of music.

Teaching is a two-way street where teachers, students, and everyone involved learn from each other.

Native from Buenos Aires, Argentina, she is available to teach both in English and Spanish, allowing her to communicate with a broader audience and work in a diverse community.

Verónica teaches using the principles of Somatic Voice (TM) as currently understand them, having completed all levels of master vocal pedagogue Jeannette LoVetri's Somatic Voicework™, a functional, body-based method of vocal training.

In addition to her Master's degree in Psychology with a specialization in Psychosomatics from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Verónica holds an AA in Music from Laney College. She studied vocal technique privately for over a decade with Mariana Melero, then specialized in Jazz studies refining her craft by studying with Lucía Boffo, Verónica Sala, Rocío Iturralde, Jazz piano with John Gove, Jazz ensemble with Charles Gurke, Jazz harmony singing with Angie Doctor and Jocelyn Medina. Verónica´s added training in Yoga and Pilates led her to enrich her teaching with an integral mind-body approach, highlighting the importance of a healthy lifestyle that helps maximize the vocal function.

Verónica´s musical experience and educational background and training as a therapist provided her with tools to make the experience of learning music a truly rewarding adventure. In her lessons, students are given the space and guidance to explore their instrument in a playful manner. She loves to accompany students in the discovery of their own unique voice and to help them build healthy habits that lead to a lifetime of singing and enjoyment, where every style and genre is welcomed. Her lessons are an invitation to experience music deeply, as a channel to express emotions, heal as needed, and have fun in the process.

The classroom is conceived as a safe space of non-judgement, where questions and vulnerability are welcomed, and experimentation is key. Lessons usually include technique work such as breathing, warm-ups, registration, and ear training, along with repertoire, interpretation, style, phrasing, and also improvisation. No lesson is exactly the same as they vary according to the needs, voice, and direction of every student-singer.

Verónica offers in-person lessons in the Bay Area, California, and Online as well, wherever you are!
